Hotel Barsey by Warwick

During our recent stay at the charming Barsey hotel, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional level of service and comfort provided. From the moment we arrived, Receptionist Elena set the tone for our stay with her warm welcome and genuine hospitality. Her willingness to go above and beyond to assist us throughout our visit truly made a positive impression. The first thing that caught my attention as we entered our room was the impeccable cleanliness and tidiness. The attention to detail was evident in every corner of the room. The decor exuded a subtle yet captivating medieval touch, which added a unique and inviting ambiance to the space. The combination of modern amenities with this distinct historical charm created an atmosphere of luxury and relaxation that was truly unparalleled. The rooms themselves were spacious and thoughtfully designed to cater to the needs of every guest. The comfortable beds ensured a restful night's sleep, and the well-appointed furnishings added an extra layer of convenience. It was clear that the hotel's management took great care in ensuring that the rooms were not only aesthetically pleasing, but also functional and comfortable. What truly set this hotel apart, however, was the exceptional service staff. Throughout our stay, the service staff demonstrated a level of attentiveness and support that went above and beyond our expectations. From providing insightful recommendations about local attractions to promptly addressing any requests or inquiries we had, their dedication to ensuring a memorable experience for guests was truly commendable. The hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction extended beyond the confines of our room. The dining experience was a testament to the hotel's dedication to providing a well-rounded and enjoyable stay. The on-site restaurant offered a delectable array of culinary delights that catered to a variety of palates.

Location could not have been more perfect, short tram rides to the 'tourist' areas as well as central Brussels, walking distances to some of the nicest shopping and restaurant locations as well as accessible transport links to other areas of the city. The room/suite was great, spacious, cool on a few particularly hot days, balcony access with great city views and the bed was comfortable, especially in my case as I am not a short man.

In 30 years of traveling around the world, I must say this was "the perfect stay"! I love this hotel for more than 6 years now, but this time was simply exceptional. To put it simple: Bertrand is the best manager this hotel can dream of. Thank you for that... it would need a book to give details on his professionalism. A real gentleman. Chef Nicholas and his assistant Jean Marc are going to take care not only of delivering an amazing food, amazing dishes, but are also the kind of humans this earth should be filled with. I might one day call them friends. The public is also nice, quiet, well educated, the kind you wish to meet. About the hotel, some would say it is old... so what? It is charming, it is professional, food is great, location is perfect, what do you need more?

I am repeating myself since the Barsey is the only hotel I stay in Brussels. If you like IKEA style hotel, this one is not for you. The style here is part of the experience. But the most important is the staff. They are doing everything to make your stay a perfect one. You could very well meet famous artists there also. But again, the real artists here are the team, the "boss" Bertrand, and, of course, the Chefs Nicholas and Jean-Marc - not only chefs, but amazing humans! Thank you all for these amazing experiences.
